The preservation of forests as a counterbalance to the increasingly pollutive pace of industrial progress is a challenge that must be addressed directly and through real action.
As a company strongly committed to environmental sustainability, PT. Taka Turbomachinery Indonesia has taken part in the Wali Pohon (Tree Guardian) program, in collaboration with the Natural Resources Conservation Center (BBKSDA), WANADRI, the Masigit-Kareumbi Conservation Area Management Team, and the ITB Alumni Class of 1989.
On May 16, 2015, Taka Turbomachinery Indonesia, represented by Mr. Santo Dewatmoko and Mr. M. Fadillah, carried out the symbolic planting of a Ki Hujan tree, marking the beginning of planting hundreds of native trees from West Java under this initiative.
Wali Pohon is a reforestation program in the Gunung Masigit-Kareumbi area of Bandung, involving both individuals and organizations. The program prioritizes the planting of native species such as Ki Hujan, Ki Oray, and Ki Leho. Through this effort, the program aims to restore biodiversity, repair damaged forest ecosystems, and ensure the long-term sustainability of the region’s natural environment.
